The music video competition and festival Captured is returning for its third incarnation this year, with the films set to premiere as part of Australian Music Week this November. After Captured Sydney first launched in 2011 as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival, Captured expanded to greater NSW as part of Harvest Festival in 2012.
The 2015 return will mark the first time Captured will be a national competition and will be called Captured Australia. Applications for participating bands and filmmakers will open on August 31st, with further details about the
Captured partners filmmakers and musicians / bands from around Australia and gives them six weeks to create a music video or short film under 5 minutes. The films will premiere at Australian Music Week in Sydney in November, before travelling around Australia in a series of events. The public will be able to vote on their favourites, as will a panel of judges, who will crown the winning Band and Filmmaker, respectively, at an event in December.
